*Already taken out your bandanas and headgears to keep your hair tied and safe from the harsh sunrays this summer? *
If soaring temperatures sap the life out of your hair, leaving them dull and dry, then this one is for you.
Metrolife speaks to hair experts and stylist for hair care tips and ways that'll help you let your hair down.
Deepa Mangrolia, Product & Tech. Consultant, Iraya tells, "Papaya is an extremely useful remedy for hair to strongly brace up the heat in summers. It helps in preventing balding and also boosts hair strength and growth. Besides, it prevents dandruff by removing excess oil, dirt and pollutants. So, you can obtain strong, thick and shiny hair by applying papaya hair mask in summers."
Now you must be wondering how to prepare one at home?
Deepa explained its preparation, saying, "Mix one cup of diced ripe papaya, ripe bananas, and yoghurt with one tablespoon of molasses and blend them together thoroughly to make papaya mask."
Hair and beauty expert, Renu Sarkar advises, "Go easy on any chemical hair treatments during this period. Avoid too much colouring, whether at the spa or at home. You can go for apricot and aloe vera hair masks to breathe in new life into your damaged hair. When it comes to home-based remedies, always rinse hair with clear water and squeeze in two lemons to the water as lemon removes excessive oils and leaves your hair smelling great as well."
Makeup expert Pooja Taluja came up with another interesting home-based remedy for your hair with bananas as key ingredient to target frizzy hair.
"Blend two ripe bananas smoothly and add honey, coconut and olive oil to the mixture and blend again to form a smoothie. Apply it to your scalp for at least 15 minutes before rinsing it with warm water."
