A section of Wanuskewin Road was closed this morning because of a chemical leak and small fire in the city's north end.
By the time the Saskatoon Fire and Protective Dangerous Goods response team arrived, the spill had been contained by the company.
"Our emergency systems worked and all our people were made safe," said Gerry Mooney, emergency coordinator with AkzoNobel.
"We've had a release of the heat exchange medium commonly known as xceltherm MK-1," he said.
Mooney added that the spill did not pose any risk to the public or the environment.
