The Birdie Fore Warmth Charity Golf Outing contributes to emergency energy assistance for Michigan families in need.

Detectent congratulates the Utility Workers Union of America (UWUA) Local 223 Gas Division for the organization and sponsorship of the 17th Annual Birdie Fore Warmth Charity Golf Outing. The 17th Annual Birdie Fore Warmth Charity Golf Outing takes place on July 25th, 2014 at the Stonebridge Golf Club located at 1825 Clubhouse Drive, Ann Arbor, MI. Registration starts at 7:15am. The cost is $135 per person or you may join the event for lunch only for $30 per person. Proceeds will be used to enable The Heat and Warmth Fund (THAW) to provide energy assistance to Michigan Families in need.
The 17th Annual Birdie Fore Warmth Charity Golf Outing will include an 18 hole golf scramble, a continental breakfast, hotdogs and chips at turn, raffles, a ‘closest to the pin’ contest, longest drive contests, and a lunch buffet. Registration starts at 7:15am with an 8:00am shotgun start followed by a lunch banquet at 1:30pm.

THAW is an independent non-profit (501(c)(3) agency that provides low-income individuals and families in Michigan with emergency energy assistance. The number of households that need utility assistance continues to grow each year. Last year THAW distributed over $14 million in energy assistance to 15,000 Michigan households. Since its inception in 1985, THAW has distributed more than $125 million in assistance to more than 175,000 Michigan households.
