Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) does not hold any grudges against Miami Heat star LeBron James for deciding to go back to to the Cleveland Cavaliers after just four seasons. “Thank you for giving us 4 great years!,” Rubio tweeted at Lebron James on Twitter. “Wish you much success back home in Ohio.”
Weeks earlier, Rubio joked with Cleveland that even though they were getting the RNC convention in 2016, they would never get James back.
“Congratulations to Cleveland on being awarded the #GOP2016 convention,” he tweeted on July 8. “But you still aren't getting @KingJames back!”
Rubio was also confident that Miami would keep James after the star opted out of his contract.
“All the Heat haters need to know that @KingJames opting out of #MiamiHeat contract is actually good thing,” he tweeted on June 24, noting that it gave the team more flexibility with money.” Reported by Breitbart 7 hours ago.
