Jet stream that normally brings hot weather is stuck over B.C.

The sun has been shining most days this summer in Regina but the heat hasn't quite reached the "cook an egg on the sidewalk" point.
The mercury has only reached 30 C twice since the beginning of May, on May 23 and July 5.
"Normally between May and all the way into September we can expect 17 days, so it's certainly an unusual year so far for that," said Terri Lang, meteorologist with Environment Canada.
Lang said the reason is that a jet stream that usually moves over Saskatchewan is stuck over B.C.
