CRAWLEY'S colts' team travelled to Majorca for their end-of-season tour against Corsaris, an adult team from Puerto Pollensa.

The heat was intense, but neither the weather nor the opponents' size was going to deter a pumped-up colts, with winger Oliver Tyson scoring their first try after three minutes.

Corsaris responded with a penalty before two tries in three minutes from Cian Morgan-Smith and Tyson stretched the Crawley lead to 17-3.

A penalty kick for Corsaris was followed by a Tyson crossed hat-trick with the last play of the half, 22-6. But within eight minutes of the restart, Corsaris had crossed for two converted tries to reduce the arrears to just two points.

This saw the Corsaris come hard at Crawley, but the away team responded well with some huge hits, scoring under the posts to restore a nine-point lead, George Ollis-Brown converting for Crawley.

Corsaris came back fighting to make the score 29-27, with the crowd suddenly expecting a home victory.

However, their expectations were well and truly burst as the Crawley team stepped another level and, after a successful penalty kick, crossed for a further two tries to make the full-time score 44-27 to Crawley. Reported by This is 11 hours ago.
