The ThermoGreen Filter System just became the first product to earn The Green Restaurant Association's Heat Recovery Endorsement by meeting rigorous environmental endorsement standards. The ThermoGreen Filter System takes that heat from a restaurant's cook line and transfers it, thus creating a free source of energy to heat a restaurant's water which saves a restaurant thousands annually by reducing energy costs.

Berwyn, PA (PRWEB) March 10, 2014

The ThermoGreen Filter System just earned The Green Restaurant Association's Endorsement by meeting its rigorous environmental endorsement standards. Normally the extra heat that comes off the stove goes into a hood and is wasted. The ThermoGreen Filter System takes that heat and transfers it, thus creating a free source of energy to heat a restaurant's water.

These products can earn a restaurant 9 GreenPoints™ towards becoming a Certified Green Restaurant®. ThermoGreen’s endorsed products are the first heat recovery system to receive the GRA Endorsement.

"Innovative!" says Michael Oshman, CEO and Founder of the Green Restaurant Association. "This is the kind of product and creativity that the restaurant industry needs to relieve the environmental and financial burden of being such major energy consumers."

Each restaurant needs to meet 100 GreenPoints™ total to become a Certified Green Restaurant® and 10 GreenPoints™ in energy, water, waste, food, chemicals, and disposables. ThermoGreen’s endorsed products alone can fulfill the 90% of the GRA Energy section, making it a powerful tool for a restaurants' energy efficiency.

“Why pay twice for your natural gas? Re-use the heat you’ve already paid for and save!” – Greg Presson, CEO ThermoGreen
